Presentation: As a member of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation it develops capacities for the agro-industrial sector and participate in networks that promote inter-institutional cooperation. The Institute generates knowledge and technologies for different sectors of society, through its extension, information and communication systems. INTA is committed to organise, develop and stimulate research, experimentation and agricultural extension as fundamental aspects, to which effect it will promote directly or by means of other entities: (a) the research into natural resources and production technology (b) the research into the conservation and primary processing of agricultural and livestock products c) the agricultural extension through technical and cultural education. Assistance to rural producers and their families and the improvement of the communities of which they are part d) the promotion of necessary actions for the application and dissemination of the results of their research and expertise. INTA's mission: Promote innovation and contribute to the sustainable development of a competitive, inclusive, equitable and environmentally friendly Agricultural, Agrofood and Agro-industrial System, through research, extension, technology development, the contribution to the formulation of public policies and national and international cooperation.
